Default uh-oh...wet carpet

Drivers' side, between the brake pedal and the front of the base of the drivers seat (closer to the seat than to the pedal. Thought it was wet from the mats but no. Feels like water----no smell or stickiness. Been there all week. Probably water.
No apparent issue after a quick look under the vehicle, but then I pulled nothing out and did not rip the vehicle apart to look.
Thoughts?

Good thing it does not smell like coolant, usually that leak is from the heater core plumbing. On passenger side. Coolant level Ok?

AC condensate drain?

What type of floor mats do you have?
I have Weather Tech floor mats and they are deep and hold water/melted snow, if I forget to empty them and they overflow the carpet will get wet.
Just something to consider.

You might want to pull up your carpet and mat to dry it out with a big fan before mildew and rust set in.

...all i can say is fix it fast. either that or read my rust renovation and diamondplate floor thread.

...oh also i've been reading up and there are leaks that enter through the windshield and specifically down the windshield base past the plastic cover and into the inner vents. there are water ingress manuals all over the site. have a look. good luck.

Have you been running your A/C recently?
The drain tubes can clog up and condensation backs up onto the carpet.

so where do I begin? is there an entryway under the vehicle that's easily visible to see issues underneath?

Under the truck there are 2 drain tubes for the a/c, one on each side of the transmission, they are hard to see, they have a small nipple on the ends, that is what gets clogged with dirt and then the water backs up and overflows into the passenger cabin.

You need to crawl under the truck and using a pipe cleaner or even a straightened metal coat hanger and ream out the drains, you WILL get wet if they are clogged.

No, but the AC drains are near the tranny tunnel. Suppose you could also pretzel under the dash (inverted) and look with good flash light while someone else hoses the windshield. While under there, you might want to do something about the left side drain if it is also leaking on the tranny XYZ switch, relocate or extend a hose.

There are pics online for the ac issue. I had they problem before. A long philips head took care of it. It's the only 5 minute fix I have ever done on my truck
