Default Ultragauge rebate issues

I sent the rebate paperwork in for my Ultragauge over 10 weeks ago, and I've heard nothing since.

I e-mailed them twice in the last couple of weeks, and had no response - apart from the automated e-mail confirmation.

At this stage it seems my only recourse is to lodge complaints with the FTC, and the BBB.

I'm kind of surprised that a small company, that relies so strongly on work of mouth, would treat a customer this way. It's certainly left a bad taste in my mouth.

I note that Ultragauge are still advertising the price after rebate, despite the fact that they don't seem willing to actually pay the rebate out.

Wow. 9 Bucks. I feel really bad about your 9 bucks. Forget about the BBB or FTC, you should email the white house. Then contact your local Senator. Follow up with the CIA or FBI.

That just reminded me that I still need to apply for my rebate!

There is a principle at stake. You know the one where people should do what they said they would do?

I've noticed that most of your posts are pretty jerky, so this one was no surprise.

I just imagine you as a customer, pissed off because your repair was 9 dollars off, coming on the forums to complain how I overcharged you 9 bucks.

Meanwhile, in the real world, it just cost me 20 bucks in lost work to sit at my computer and write this.

from Psychology Today...

Sarcasm is psychologically rooted in anger, distrust and cowardice. People using are angry or frustrated, don’t trust the other person (or themselves) to pull off speaking speak directly, and are often afraid to take the risk to express their true feelings.

After working for Best Buy way back when, I remember customers always being pissed off about not getting their rebates. My lesson was never count on getting it back. In fact I bought the ultra gauge early last year and pretty sure I never did get mine now that you mention it. Hell now I am pissed. In all reality is it worth 9 bucks to take the time to try and take care of it? If it is then go for it but for me the 9 isn't that big of a deal. Not saying its right just I try not to get worked up on small stuff. My advice is go grab a 6 pack and forget about it

I would say that's not 100% true, its also a good way to tell someone that they're stupid without actually saying it. You could try to turn his post around against him, like you have, but its a waste of your time. Just like fighting for a 9$ refund.

Go on the appropriate forum if you want to continue, the support forum on the ultra-gauge website was created for exactly this.

The General Questions forum on the Ultraguage website is closed. I cannot see a support forum.
