Default Unplugged stepper and TPS-no change!

98 Disco 1 V8 SFI.
High idle at 1800rpm cold (hot summer weather) Changed out the stepper motor a couple months back and no change.

I just unplugged the TPS and stepper motor both together and individually and reconnected them in all possible combinations but the revs never changed.

Does this indicate anything? Such as maybe the ECU????
Does the EVAP and purge valve lines effect the RPM like this?

Thanks
Alan

Have you checked for vacuum leaks?
Did you have the new stepper motor programmed by your dealer?

Alan it would be advised to keep the same issue you are having to one thread. That way everyone can monitor what has been done and/or discussed in order to resolve the issue. https://landroverforums.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=24563

Can I ask again how many miles you have?

Thanks for the tip. Will do...
155k but it runs like silk other than this high idle issue which is really maddening.
