Unwanted warning lights

Thanks indeed for that offer and I might well take you up on it . In actual fact I had another good samaritan contact me saying he had a code reader (although not sure he means a land rover one ) and if I care to go over to him he would have a look. As he is only about 30 mins away I shall be going to see him this afternoon but I am not holding my breath as yet. I am near North Walsham but I would not expect you to come here and I would be more than willing to travel to you if need be. I shall let you know how I get on.....thanks again

Hi Bert
IMHO you need to download a copy of the D2 RAVE Workshop Manual from this forum site. It tells you all you'll ever need to know about the D2 engine and ancillaries and is easy reading. If you can buy a new or used OBD2 diagnostic tool (Hawkeye, Nanocom or Britpart Lynx) all the better. The 3 Amigos is a common diag: fault amongst many others. It doesn't create too many problems apart from no ABS, Hill descent or Traction control otherwise it doesn't affect you using the D2 apart from the MOT which under the new regs (I believe) will require the ABS to be fixed.
