Upgrading hood decals from 2003 to 2004
Hey guys well I just bought the 2004 brunel chrome bonnet decals to replace the silver 2003 version of the "Land Rover" lettering.
My question is, has any other 2003 owner done this? I'm just afraid that once I install that it may look weird because the brunel chrome may not match the silver 2003 SE side decals. My rover is osolo blue.
I'm going to consider painting the 2004 lettering silver if it's going to look too "off."
Just wondering what some other people who've upgraded the hood lettering experience has been.
I know this sounds **** but I'm picky about details
Thanks

What are you trying to accomplish? Just replacing the silver lettering because it was removed or damaged? I guess I can kind of see the point because I have a 3 year old who is a big Land Rover fan but who can't yet spell "Land Rover." The lettering will help him, and anyone else with a preschool level education.
I don't always debadge my stuff, but I wouldn't put someone else's sticker on my car unless they were paying sponsor bucks.

Yes the adhesive to the original decal wore out so I'm seeking to replace them. Everyone says how much of an improvement the 2004 raised decals are so I'm trying to get some thoughts.
If they are worn... I'd replace them w/the raised letters. I had my 03' next to an 04' same color silver. Ironically I replaced the side HSE7 vinyl decal w/the raised plastic lettering from British Parts of Utah a few years ago. Now that I see the difference when the time comes to do the swap I would not hessitate. If that's your thing.. cosmetics. You will get all sorts of opinions so whatever makes you happy.
Do you have pics of the new lettering? My guess is that you will be the only one that notices differences in the coloring of new and old lettering so it won't be a big deal, but the raised lettering will be a nice touch.
I agree with Zonk, it's YOUR truck, do whatever you want, except 22"s
