Thumbs down Used Parts Fiasco

So I decided to put the SAI heads on the 4.0 I am having delivered to replace my cracked block 4.6.. I ordered new fittings, Land Rover Part #: WAD500010 from Roverland Parts. This is designated as a one use throwaway part, as are head bolts, rod bolts, and many other stretch to fit bits on the Bosch. I did not notice the "quality used parts" in small print on the top of their web page, what I saw was Free Shipping on Parts over $300 and Freight over $1000..., so I got just what I ordered, useless, used, "secondary injection air fittings". When I queried the shipper they replied that the warning that all parts was in HUGE RED LETTERS at the top of their page. I then asked why they would sell a part that could not be used, as it is a one use fitting,I did not get a reply...sigh.
They did offer to give me store credit for $50. if I shipped them back. Store credit for parts I cant use? Thanks but no. By the way, my bill was 72.38 for the two useless fittings.

That’s annoying.

also, I hate buying a part based on pics which show Genuine parts, then being sent Britpart or some other baloney. I’ve been burnt on that a few times.

I had that happen with my extended brake lines. We're supposed to be TF 50MM & I received Britpart 40MM.

Are you talking about the fitting that goes between the head and crappy SAI tubes? If so, reuse them...or use the ones you bought. I've had both sets out of both my 01 and 03, a couple times.

Where did you learn that those fittings are not re-useable? I didn't notice that anywhere in the Rave or on AllData
