Default Using velcro on interior carpet

Will the "hooked" stiffer side of velcro adhere well enough to the carpet? I'm looking for a way to keep the Firestik antenna off the floor (in front of the reat seats) while not in use. My other thought is to use a couple of homemade hooks that will screw through the floor to the angled front carpet area of the rear seats. I only ask because I don't have any velcro to test it out, and if possible would like to avoid more screws through the floorboard.

Thanks

Just slide your antenna under the back seat, open the door and slide it right under. On my DI that is where I keep a hammer andthe breaker bar that I use as a tire tool.
