For a stock flooded lead acid battery this is correct.

AGM batteries have higher charging requirements, but most alternators don't know what battery you have installed and don't change voltage based on that.

Never hurts to have one on hand but that seems pretty normal to me.

Ok guys....

Bosch 150 Amp new for $250 shipped or Bosch Remanufactured 150 Amp for $110 shipped? Are the Bosch reman junk? Valeo 120 amp new is $250 shipped too. Best option? Thanks for any input.
