Default vehicle value

I have a 2001 discovery ii hse7.. Odometer reads 145000... The body is good shape. Interior is good.. Only losing leather around the 4x4 shifter and emergency break. Head gasket blew in aug 2012... It's been sitting in my garage since. I'm looking to sell it. What's a fair asking price? I know i could it part it out, but i don't have the time or the knowledge...

Where are you at? I might go $600.

Sadly it's not worth much. If it blew that usually means it got hot. If it did, I'd want to see the sleeves to see if it's worth fixing. So yeah, it's kind of a gamble to buy it and not worth much to most.

yep, depending on location and condition, you might get somewhere close to 1k, more likely less

You could start high and work your way down. I'll assume you have the jump seats and it's fully loaded. Someone may want it for parts or put their good engine into it. Doesn't hurt to try. I paid a grand for mine 4 years ago (engine overheated and partially disassembled) rebuilt it and still running strong. I think the other issue is that you've left it sit for 2 years. British electronics do funny things when left to sit and issues begin to develop with seals leaking and brake calipers sticking. Put it on Craigslist and try. I've seen an '02 Freelander with a blown engine go for $1800. That should give you some hope.

the only part that is hard to find is a good engine, and you don't have that. good luck
