Is anybody familiar with this concept? Has anyone ever bought and tried one of these? I see these listed on Ebay all the time.

The truth about those things are that they just don't make a difference for modern cars. Intake manifold design has changed ever since individual port injection took the world over. Modern intakes, like in our late rovers, are designed to move air, not fuel/air. If this was a miracle product then the swirl effect would have been incorporated in all engine designs...

On old inefficient engines, yes, this may help atomize the fuel by a fraction, but may also alter the air flow passing the valves creating lousy combustion spread.

Anyway, don't waste your time and money. Even if you end up getting one and feeling a "genuine" difference, it's just psychosomatic!
