The air pump only runs when all the doors are closed. That's why it sinks when you open a door. Drives me crazy sometimes when I have the back loaded up with wood and the door left open...the compressor wont come on. I have a pair or Arnott's and they are great. They are worth the extra price since they have a lifetime warranty. Good luck...it's a pretty easy install.

Wait a minute, the compressor will NOT run when any door is open?
So when I carry my 28ft extention ladder with the cargo door open the SLS will go flat?
Man oh man am I glad that I have a DI.

No the SLS wont go flat, it just wont "self level" as the load / weight increases, and yesthe compressor will not run with any door open.

You should not be carrying a 28ft ladder with the rear door open tbh, it should be up on the roof, and you will draw in exhaust fumes with the door open, so get yourself a roof rack
