2003 disco 2 vibration and vibration noise when driving. I put the disco up on ramps chocked it and put it in natural. Slid under and checked it out both shafts seem tight there is a small amount of play in the front shaft at the transfer case and the joints seem tight I expected to find s bad joint the vibration is pretty bad what am I missing?

I read that before I posted. I have no problem changing the front shaft I just want to make sure I was diagnosing the problem correctly. I was expecting to find a blown u joint and I didn't...my vibration starts at 10 mph I don't dare going over 40 that's why I expected to find the culprit but I didnt....

 

Well I changed the front shaft all the joints were good the center ball in the cardigin was rusted and stiff I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes is it worth getting that shaft fixed. It has no grease fittings?

 

My new to me D2 is at 199k miles - ujoints were replaced in the past but experiencing the same thing as noted in the linked thread.
Vibration about 75mph for me.
Will have to examine and consider a new shaft............. (thats what she said)
