Default Vibration Situation!!!

I have a 2003 Discovery with 25,000 miles on it. I recently had the brakes done, and a rear tire pluggedshortly before Christmas.Over the past week, Ibegan to notice a tire wobble and shaking in the steering wheel occasionally at speeds around 40-50 mph. I have called my dealership to for an appointment to see if the alignment was improperly done after the brake work/tire plugging, or if it could be another problem. I am about to take a long roadtrip and don't want a breakdown on the highway.

Anyone have any input or similar situations?????

From prior forums and information, your driveshaft and u-joints should all be good, so one thing I did when I had that problem was simply make sure the tires were balanced and were inflated properly. I filled my tired and the problem vanished!... try that out...

You are probably right. It may be that the rear passenger tire that they plugged is slow leaking again and causing misalignment. Should I just go ahead and replace the tire? I had a blowout in the highway in my father's truck many years ago due to a patched tire,so I'd hate to have the same thing happento me againdue tomy 'unstable' tire situation.

Thanks for the input!!!!

check out "discovery vibration at 70mph".posted a few days ago.i had all my tires rebalanced and the problem went away...seem like the larger the tire the more crucial correct balancing is...
