Vibration From Transfer Case?
Hi again.
2003 disco 89k.
Still have a vibratión when decelerating at high speed ( 85 MPH ) very slight now. Kind of like a hummmmm and feel it in the middle of the truck behind drivers seat.. and a little on the wheel. If I step on the gas again it goes away.
So far I have changed:
Front Drive Shaft
All U Joints with grease fittings
Rotoflex
Serviced Tranny ( Disco Mike´s way )
Checked Differentials ( both no leaks and good Oil ) no service yet.
Transfer with a very slight leak.
Checked Wheel Balance twice ... Tyres have about 25% life left.
Wheel Hubs. ( pair of used ones but they were both in good shape )
Serpentine Belt.
New rotors and Breake pads.
Tranny shop says it is coming from the transfer case ( NO WAY RIGHT ? )
Running out of ideas.
Please help.

RE: Vibration From Transfer Case?
Crawl under the truck and inspect all 3 mounts, the drivers side engine mount can crack and drive you nuts.
Service the diffs and t/case, if for no other reason then to see if you have metal chips, not mud, on your metalic drain plugs, this can tell you alot.
And per an ad on the television, never say "NO WAY" cause it may be countered by "WAY".

RE: Vibration From Transfer Case?
Crawled Under.the truck pushing up ( with Jack )under each Mount and The drivers side seems to have a little More play than the other 2 even do the seem hard enough for me to push them manually.
Can this Mount be causing these vibratión?
No metal chips on Differentials Or T Case drain Plugs ( slight leak on T Case ) If it were the Differentials Or T case Vibratión would Be constant and not only when decelerasting from 80 MPH right ?
I was thinking even do I replaced all U Joints mabe 1 is not installed propperly , there is a very slight Play on the rear Drive Shaft and U Joint looks OK. How Much Play is acceptable. ?

No play (ZERO) is acceptable in the universal joints.
Not sure what you mean by play in the rear driveshaft. Is it axial, radial, etc.
What do you mean by play?
Inspect the balance weights on both driveshafts, sometimes if the shafts have them, these weights may fly off causing the need to rebalance the shafts.
