Well, I just replaced my shuttle valves switch, and the seals. They were certainly leaking, the old switch was covered in brake fluid. It still tested good, but I went ahead and replaced it, and bypassed the internal ground, just to make sure.

 

Sounds like just the inverse of my ABS repair: My seals weren't leaking, and the switch was dry, but it tested bad. I replaced the switch, seals, and did the bypass to ensure no potential problems were left untreated.

 

Now I need to install these stainless brake hoses. I was planning on doing it all at the same time to cut down on how much brake fluid I waste.... but I'm out of daylight. I guess I'll just not drive it for a while... I haven't bled the brakes at each wheel yet, so I'm still good on the not wasting fluid.

Just sold my '03 LR Disco BUT... I have a couple of items that i just found in my garage. A new air filter, a Fram TG16 Oil Filter and the ABS Modulator Shuttle Valve Repair Kit (Wabco) SWO500030. Does anybody need these things?
