mine had enough to route it to where the u welds are to route it that way. If your hose isn't long enough, get a coupler and do it that way

all i see is a nipple with cross cuts in it. why do they do that? why not just have a drain line ? do they want the water to collect till its full enough to slowly drip from that cross cut nipple?

I yank those nipples out all the time as they're known to clog up.

Once you pull nipple off, you will see a small funnel like rubber piece stays behind that makes the seal to body, the hole in rubber funnel is aprox 1/2 inch, you want a tube at least 5/8 to 11/16 inch outside diameter, so when you squeeze it into rubber funnel it doesn't fall off easily, I used some hard plastic tube that fitted just right, (don't push it in too far or some water will always stay in funnel,) I brought the 2 plastic hose from both sides to just slightly under Trans cooler line, & used 3/4 inch heater hose and slided it over plastic hose to make like a heat shield and keep it from possible melting, then ziptie then to Trans cooler line in a few places & cut the extra tubing so it doesn't hang too low, it has worked for me just fine & no more water on driveshaft or XYZ switch,

My A/C drain above the xyz switch was, I believe, 8mm ID, so I attached a 6-8" length of flexible rubber fuel tube to the existing tube after removing the split nipple and fixed the new tube tied back with a zip tie or two and then replaced the split nipple to the new tube. The problem was condense constantly dripping onto the xyz switch and not so much the driveshaft.
