Default Wanting to Buy A Discovery/ Advice please

I have $3000 to buy a land Rover and all the ones in that price rang have 105k-150k miles. Now im new to the Rver world, but ive always had Jeeps and Toyotas. Im just looking for a weekend fun and 3 miles a day to work. How many miles is to many with these and what should I be on the look out for. Im in Northern Texas.

I wouldn't go over 150,000 miles, don't want it warn out before you can throw some miles oni.
Look and see what you have in your area, looking for a 97 or 98 D1.

96-98 are going to be the best bet for your price range. 100 - 150k miles is about average for those model years. You will also need to put some money into the vehicle after you buy it to bring the maintenance up to current. Search for the 60,000 mile service on this forum to get an idea what you need to do once you buy.
