Default Water Fall

I have this strange water noise, like gushing water from behind the dash when accelerating from a stop. I have a 2002 Disco 4.0 SE. The center seatbelt is also stuck and I cannot pull it.
Any ideas fellow Disco gurus?

Have you checked your antifreeze level? are you having to add?
That sound indicates air in the coolant system. I would have your cooling system pressure tested if you have to add.
If you haven't checked yet, keep an eye on it. These things blow head gaskets easily, and if you overheat it, you could mess it up really bad really fast.

As for the seatbelt, you might just have to take off the cover and manually unhook the releases. I don't have a retracting rear center seatbelt, so I don't know for sure.

Good Luck!

Well, in regards to the seatbelt, mine has been replaced twice already for being stuck. The first time I payed outta pocket ( $300.00) and the second time, the dealership paid for it. ONe thing they did mention to me is that since I didn't have the seatbelt cover, it was that that was triggering the lock of the seatbelt. Soooo, maybe you might need to replace the seatbelt cover?? Just a guess....

Hopefully that helped alittle

Do not continue to drive the truck till you find out where your coolant is leaking from, be it external or head gaskets and fix it or you could damage your engine.

Mike,
I don't have a leak! I can just hear water as if it is gushing through a pipe or something as I apply gas.

You have a leak, you just don't know it,YET.
For air to get into the engines coolant system you have to be leaking, if you see none on the outside of the engine then your head gaskets are going.
I would take it to a shop and have them pressure test the coolant system and if need be do a chemical block test.
Again, don't drive it much or allow it to over heat, you can loose your engine over a good coolant leak.

Check out www.discoweb.org
On the bulletin board (discovery tech) they have a lot of people with the same issues. Some are heater core related/leaks others are A/C drain line clogged. Do a search and you should be able to figure it out between here and there.

Thanks for that! It just so happens that the cover is missing! I'll try and find a new one.

Rob,
Do you happen to know where the AC drain line is located so I can see if it is clogged? Thanks.
