Great idea Tony ... props for this!

It doesn't push up on the cowl too much?

Thanks. Guys!

Doesn't even touch. I was thinking there'd be some interference. Didn’t seem to matter - the lip sticks up high enough to keep water from pouring over the edge and into the opening, while channeling it to the sides.

Had a slight leak under severe testing with garden hose. Can’t have it! Not on a 2004 all weather vehicle.

I upped the ante with a different type of edge “flap” seal.

I used the same edge seal to replace the cowl to windshield seal that came on the new cowl. Much better contact, more pressure, and surface area. I just hope it holds up to the environment as time goes on.

I’ll test it as soon as I get the new brakes on and sorted.

Min order for the new edge seal was 25' - still have plenty left if you'd like some.

@Tony Luna thanks for the offer, looks like a bad seal the top so far. Which mean I just need a warmish couple of dry days, in Vancouver BC, in Nov to get some sealant under there

Hi Tony,

Can you share the link where you got this new edge flap seal please?

Thanks!

Haven't tested it yet - but I think its going to work better than the last stuff I tried. Plus, pretty encouraged with how it may improve the cowl to windshield seal.
