Default water (rain) on the passenger side floor

this is an FYI post primarily since i think i've determined the cause.

after pretty heavy rain i had an abundance of water in my passenger floor. i found that the plastic moulding at the bottom of the winshield has pulled away from the windshield above the outside air intake tube. i'm pretty sure water was running on the underside of the moulding and right into the air intake. i bet this happens alot since i dont think the moulding is ever water tight to the windshield.....although mine has a gaping crack right there. i cant figure out why the plastic has pulled away from the windshield. i'm debating replacing the moulding....

Genius Genius Genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't replace it that is the best place for water to leak, its even better if it runs a few more inches and gets the computers wet.

Here's another thread on the subject: https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...g-there-48292/

I had a bunch of electrical issues resulting from the water on the bundle of wires and wire headers below the heater blower motor so the sooner you fix it the better. I ended up having to cut out the shorted out electrical headers and manually wire them together.

Not sure what the best fix for the cowl is though. I bought a new one and in a few months, that was warped as bad as the first one.

Good luck. Let us know how you fix it.

i took the cowl off and noticed there's foam filters in there but there doesn't appear to be any way to change them out.
