Default Water sound in dash getting worse...

I know that this topic has been beat to death already, but as the title says, its getting worse... the sound before was just a gentle trickle now its this bubbly babbly brook sound...
the bleeeder screw is missing in my top hose, am i getting air in thru there, is the bleeder screw absolutely necessary? and should i replace any hoses? theyre kinda swollen looking.

Well if the system were full of coolant then you would not be sucking air.
Replace that bleeder screw and then look for your leak.
Make sure that you top up your coolant.

There was a recall or TSB on this part and it was replaced with a new piece.
You still have that "T" piece that that is where the bleeder screw broke isint it?
You will need to replace that whole "T", Atlanticbritish will have it, you might also want to check with your dealer or AutoZone.

I would suggest you quit driving the truck till you replace the upper hose assembly with the newer up dated hose assembly.
You will toast that engine if you keep driving it cause with no pressure it will over heat about 20 degrees quicker then when sealed.

It was not a recall but a TSB as an advisory.
Bite the bullet, go to Atalantic British, like the rest of us have and buy the proper parts.

I would at least call the dealer and price it there before just ordering. Many times, it has been less expensive to get mine at the dealer when you figure overnight shipping, and you can have it that day.
