I have a 96 Disco 1 and was wondering how much water a stock disco can go in?

Top of the front tires as long as you don't fall into a hole.
At some point you will want to consider wrapping your ECU in plastic so it doesn't get wet.

So now you know what to try and what not to.
Spikes water crossing may ne duiable with your truck if you drive slow, otherwise go fast and you will be dead in the water.

If you watch Panzer and my videos you will see that we both drive fast enough to make a bow wake but not fast enough to be stupid. The bow wake is the key.
If you stop you are done. If you back up same thing.
If you do not know how deep the water is then you must get out and walk it first, or go around.

it would still do it, My D1 V8 did the same water sections, that at the time had no snorkel.............how ever it filled up inside a LOT more lol as there "was" a few holes under the carpet he he he........Its really funny to open the door and the water pours out !! although I would not enjoy that in my TD5 [:-]

Heres my D1 doing the small one, it also did the long one to (which is where it filled up lol). Its in between the 2 Rangie Classics

Oh My G-d! These Land Rovers are amazing!

I'm not trying to be a prissy missy but my husband is insisting on a LR for me since I have this propensity to get into accidents. (I do drive many more miles than the average person for business) Currently I had a '07 Chrysler Sebring which got totaled in a freak accident. We are looking at an '04 Disco and I love that (for once) I can see over the hood. Also love the stadium seating in back. We even priced out the third row seating.

Can anyone give me the good, bad and ugly on this car? I already know the gas mileage basically s=cks. I just want to know that my three boys will be safe. This car seems to be heavy so I am also leary about hurting someone else should I get into an accident. (which I should/shouldn't say cause my husband is already mad at me)

How does this vehice comp to the Jeep? Unfortunately I had an accident with my '00 Jeep Cherokee but felt it saved my kids lives as well as mine. The Jeep wasn't totaled but I always felt that because of the height we didn't seriously get hurt.

Ok, so I really need to pay attention to the road. Having three kids under the age of 13 should teach me NOT to look away from the road. Just need your opinion on the '04 Disco. (please no driving tips, I beat myself up on a regular basis)
