Default watts link

Anyone replace their OEM watts linkage with the upgrade?? If so, do you have part number and place to purchase it?? Is it worth it? EBAY has the whole tamale for $199

I don't think the 199$ version is an 'upgrade.' just a less expensive version of original. Should be just fine if you don't have a lift.....

Just did this a couple weeks ago . Works great, I had to jack up the truck to get clearence to remove the main bolt. Really needs an impact wrench, wasted an hour messing around w frozen bolts.

Agreed, not an upgrade but seems to be a reasonable replacement.

The links and bushings are New Old Stock in Ebay. The clip I watched on Utube has an englishman installing "improved" curved links on his Discovery 2. Still do not know where he got those.

so it's clear, the 'curved' arms are for those trucks with a lift (2 or greater inches). The original arms are straight. Straight arm on driver side will interfere with the watts link support if the disco is jacked up (w/ springs, not body lift)

The clained 'OEM ones' are no way for sale for 200$. these are aftermarket. Anything with an original LR green sticker on it will be at minimum 300$ and up just for the watts link. The 3 center watts bushings are spherical and need to be for angles involved. That's why I would avoid the poly bush replacements for the main watts link. You can use poly on the arms to body mount...

as I said above, aftermarket center watts link w/new bushings will be fine. I have one and it works great. get one with bushings installed, they are a PITA to press out and in...
