Default Watts Linkage

I have a clunk in my Disco and have figured out it is the Watts Linkage. Thanks Rave manual. So, do i buy the kit from AB or is there a replacement bushing from napa or somewhere like that.

You are going to be hard pressed to find a replacement bushing at NAPA unless they can take your old one and match it up.

ok, i'll order the set from AB. I just thought it might be the same as the u-joints and center bearing in the driveshaft with a replacement right off the shelf.
Thanks Spike.

I have ordered the bushings from AB and they should be here in a few days. I sprayed all the bolts and nuts with wd-40 three or four times. This morning i got under to see if i could crack them loose and i had good success. The large bolt in the center in the middle is very tight and i am a little worried about it though. In the manual it shows a nut on the end of this bolt but i think it also threads into the bracket off the housing. Anybody else have this bolt out ?

Just curious what ever happened with this. I'm getting ready to order the bushings for mine, and would love to know how the change out went for you.

Well, it wasn't too bad, a bit of a pita but nothing to severe. Make sure you spray the bolts and nuts. You have to beat the old bushings out and the new ones in. I used a big socket but there probably is a proper tool. the end result was well worth it because mine where in bad shape. Good luck.

Hello!

I need to replace my Watts Linkage bushings too - just wondering if anyone has come up with a cheaper and/or superior source?

...or any other advice...?

Thanks!

I would go with something like this for the bushings...
