Default weird cylinder pressures

2000 disco II 140k miles

i suspected a blown head gasket on my baby and when we pressure tested her to confirm we found that it was having widely varying cylinder pressures -anything from 110 psi to 180+ psi.

what could this mean in addition to the blown head gasket(s)?

oh another thought while i have you guys paying attention:
how much more expensive is it to have the 4.0 rebuilt than it is to do the head gaskets?

the vehicle is paid for and im gonna keep it forever...

thanks

Sticking valves, worn cylinder..the usual suspects.

What were all the cylinders numbers, did you do a leak down test, if not do one, then get back to us.

If I had to guess I would say another $1000 for a rebuild.
But I would not do that, these engines run damn near forever if you take care of them and half of forever is you dont.
