Default Weird problem

When It rains, And I leave the 04 DII out in it. It doesn't want to start. Turn the key and nothing. It has done it twice but only when it's raining. It happened to the wife the other day.Now I must take action
If I wait a while and try it again in a few minutes it has started both times

I have checked the battery leads ( both ends ) and looked under it but saw nothing obvious.
Other than moving to Nevada I'm not sure what else to look at.
Any help is appreciated

never, personally, had such a problem, but isn't faulting cps sometimes sensitive to cold and moisture?

I will look at this weekend and maybe squirt some water on it and see. I have not had the pleasure of replacing one yet.
Not sure what else to look for ??

Thanks

make sure your windshield isn't leaking in on your fuse panel.. it is known to leak right there

Doesn't turn at all? Starter is down low and easy to see. Check the lead and ground on that. Maybe if wet it is grounding or arching.

Now I have a plan for this weekend. I thought the windshield was leaking but just turned out to be the AC drain. all dry inside.
I will dig up prints for the ECU
My Multimeter crapped out it was very old.. So it's time for a new one anyway.
Thx

So far I checked the ECU It appears to never have been wet. Im crawling under today to look at starter and crank pos sensor . and wiring. It is supposed to rain today so maybe I can find something.
All the dash lights come on when it attempting to start but no starter. Maybe a relay, I just dont understand why it just does it when it is wet???
Thanks for suggestions now back to work

The other thing to check is the fuel pump relay. My truck wouldn't start, so I swapped the relay with the washer relay next to it. Cranked right up. Very easy to misdiagnose as crankshaft position sensor failure.

I just don't get why it only does it when it rains? Hard to troubleshoot an intermittent problem like this. No smoking gun yet?
