Smile Well lost my job... but the world did not end ;)

Spent my last 3 paychecks on brakes and gifts for the family for Christmas. Wont be on for awhile I suppose so hopefully my Disco will champ it out without the support and love of the forum

After getting my hands on better tools I was finally able to tackle my brakes! Got that stubborn 12mm 6 point caliper guide pin bolt off (in one piece and saved it) and just finnished installed all new rotors and pads and also replaced both front calipers. Just have install the new brake master cylinder, bleed it then bleed the system with new dot 4 then my Rover will be all set for winter! oh and I did use anti squeel lubricant on the metal side of the brake pads.

Expecting snow showers today and through the weekend, anyone down south or out west getting hit yet? Winds are pretty intense today! AND THE WORLD DID NOT END!

In any even I just wanted to thank EVERYONE on here, specially DiscoMike, Spike, Reeves and all others who have help me out in the ways they have. Thanks for all the support and tech help. I will miss you guys and cant wait to return. Submitted many applications so if all goes as planned Ill be back in a few weeks to a month when I can afford the bills.

Have a safe holiday everyone, and Merry Christmas to all!

Julian

Good luck and a Merry Christmas! We have plenty of work out here in ND if you can stand the cold winds.

Someone always told me things happen for reason. Hang in there. We'll be here when you return.

Apply for unemployment TODAY.
There will be a waiting week in most states where you WAIT and don't get paid.

Employers are unkind to have a person get laid off during Christmas.
Either they are spiteful or they don't want to pay Christmas vacation or both.
