You said the second code stated a cam sensor fault. I was saying that the 1174 was not a cam sensor fault. The o2's have heaters in them and the 1174 is a heater error. (I might be wrong). But it is not a cam error.

Using Seafoam wouldn't hurt anything, but you would get more benefit out of doing a throttle body cleaning..

ok so I just got off the phone with the dealer and they gave me an estimate of $345 to clear the codes?! He said it takes 2-3 hours?? Does this sound right? Should the SES light go off after I changed the 02 sensors?

If all they plan on doing is clearing the codes, then it is much cheaper and easier to clear them yourself. If they intend on doing diagnostic work beyond that, then it may be reasonable.

Put it this way, if you just want to clear the codes, you can go to Autozone, buy an ODBII scanner for $100 or less, and clear them in less than a minute with the tool.

Just for the record, I also have the P1174 fault code coming up. It came shortly after I was filling up with regular gas. My wife put some premium in and the check engine light went out soon after that. It has since come on again.
It's looking like it's an oxygen problem but I'm just speculating.

Thanks for the forum, new to LRs.
