What are centric rings and do you need them?

They are rings that make sure the wheel is centered around the hub. Apparently there are alot of wheels that will bolt to a LR, but if they aren't specifically made for a LR, then they need a ring to keep the wheel centered.
I have no personal experience with them.
I have worked on cars and bikes for many years, but this is my first LR.
I've had it just over a year, and had/have to fix so many things, it's made learning this thing easier.
LR wheels are not something I know about.
The po of my 04 put some gangsta RR 20" wheels on it.
And, even though I like them, they're not me.
The plan has been for black steel wheels, AT tires, and 2"-3" of lift.
I was happy to see you had black spoke wheels, and hope I can find some.
From what I understand is that if your wheels are made for a LR, then no hub centric rings should be needed.
If they are for anything else, but still bolt up, then you need the rings.
From what I can see in your pictures, it looks like your wheels fit snug around the hub as they should for a LR wheel, and should not need rings.
Hopefully someone else here can clarify.

interesting ok. thanks for the compliment, I’m pretty stoked on em but unfortunately getting any info from the PO is less than likely. They do seem to fit perfectly (made for LR) just dont know anything about them. Kind of funny how a handful of different wheel manufacturers can have an identical design. Makes it difficult for us consumers hah. I’ll see if I can pull any teeth from the PO, maybe I’ll hit gold on this one and both of us can benefit. Here’s what a 3” TF lift shocks and coils looks like btw with wheels that your interested in and TF fenders...

Not much lift IMO. May be an illusion... I had the truck jacked up pretty high, another 2-3”, doing my watts the other day and was like “damn, wish it looked like that”

That looks really good, I like it.
A little taller would be perfect.

SIX and anyone else who's interested in this wheel style and correct bolt pattern sizing. I called Summit Racing and they determined that U.S. Wheels is one of the only manufacturers who make our fitment. The reason it's so difficult to find them is that they haven't made our sizing in quite some time. They're currently making another batch now but won't be ready for shipment until the beginning of September- YIKES! This was just determined yesterday (what a coincidence). He suggested I try and reach out to any collision specialty repair shops to 'true' my bent wheel, which seems to be my only option at the moment considering I can't wait a couple more months for a new one. Good luck~

Again, D2 specs are: 5x120.7 / 30-40mm offset / 14x1.5mm bolt sizing / and whatever size wheel you need aka diameter and depth
