I'm trying to see how to find out what the wheel "backspacing" is on my 18" hurricane wheels (03 DII). I have two sets and am selling one set locally but the guy keeps asking me what the "backspacing" is on them???? Anybody know?

 

I've never heard the term before. Does he mean the bolt pattern? Maybe the rim offset?

 

I got the bolt pattern and everything. It may be that the offset is the same as the backspacing.......? I noticed on some other forum posts that backspacing was mentioned when using aftermarket steelies. Usually the steelies "backspacing" were listed as 3.75 or 4 inches - I think that's the number he's talking about. Do you know the offset?

 

Backspacing is the measurement between the mounting surface of the rim against the wheel bearing, and the back edge of the rim. In this pic, REAR SPACING is the backspacing.



Offset and backspacing are not the same thing.
