When dealerships replaced the abs sensors with the new units, they hard wired them directly to the computer and left the old lines with the connector in place. So that's just an open ended wire that terminates under the dash somewhere.
save the wire and connecter and you can splice it in if you ever want to use a sensor with a factory style connector again in the future.

Replacing the shuttle valve switch wasn't difficult at all. I looked up a couple of YouTube how-to videos which helped a lot. The toughest part was lifting the unit against the resistance of the brake lines, then bending it all back into the proper position. It took less than an hour, counting the time needed to fetch dropped tools about a dozen times.

When I did mine, the 3 cap screws holding the switch were crazy stiff with Loctite. A standard allen key would try to slip out so use a small hex driver and a 1/4" ratchet from the start. If you damage the hex, you will have to pull the whole unit. I don't think there would be room for an extractor while the lines are connected. Mine was too tall so I cut it to look more like this and it worked very well.

It's not that hard. Undo the 3 vibration mounts that secure the abs unit and then unclip the brake lines from clips and lift up on the abs unit. I had a high quality set of Allen wrenches and was able to get them off that way instead of having to use a socket. Maybe u will be lucky enough. I also did the option "b" bypass when I swapped mine.

X2. I also used a block of wood stuffed underneath the back to help hold the unit up some to work on it. I think? Its been a long time now....
