Default What is this?

On my 2003 Disco - there are four places for switches on each side of the instrument cluster.
The left side has switches for front fog lights, rear fog lights, fuel door. And the fourth switch is blank.

So, the other day for some reason I pulled on the "blank" that is in this spot (I don't know why, call it boredom in Chicago traffic).
What came out surprised me ... there is a box with a number of wires attached.

Anyone know what this does?? I decided not to mess with it but am just curious.

Thanks.

That should be just a blank spot that a switch can be installed into if needed.

That would be the button to turn off the rear parking assist - if you had it.

Got it - it must have the wiring harness already installed. Thanks for the replies. Frank - thanks for the Chi info as well. I'll check out the site.
