AS a owner of a Discovery ,I have enjoyed this truck. My cos. Barry was on the original design group at The Rover Group and is now with Mini, He always drove a Discovery and still does. As for as Toys I have owned several and they were great Vanilla vehicles. My Daugther has a 03 Land Crusier and it has had its problems ( frame replaced, electrical ) and she has a Jeep CJ that is on it 3rd transfer case. So all vehicles have issues, thats part of the joy of ownership.

You think the the Land rover has issues , I have a 83 Ferrari 512 BBI.

i have owned old a big K5 blazer,,, a jeep rubicon (great trail and rock rig) and now my discovery. the discovery has been the best combination of off road and trail rig. refined and classic at the same time being tough and rugged.

that being said. my most reliable car ever owned is my 30 year old ferrari. shocking but its true.

i looked at getting a land cruiser,,, but they dont have any soul. nothing like the way you feel in something british or italian.
