I'm sure we will have some fights, but which color is the best? I thought people said old school green is best. Now I'm seeing people talking about expensive pink euro stuff. We are still about avoiding dexcool, right?

BMW's coolant (dark blue) is my go-to. It's made without phosphates that react with aluminum. I think Zerex makes it for them? Really, really good stuff.

$22/gallon at the dealer.

I've used good old (green) Prestone for years with good results.

I would stear clear of Dexcool even though the Brits over here swear by using it in everything... even in their tea. lol The main issue with Dexcool is when people mix it with regular coolant making it sludge up the radiator passages which blocks the coolant system.
I prefer Valvoline's Zerex G-05 coolant. I honestly can't tell you anything special about it other than I started using it because it was on sale at AutoZone a few years ago so I kept using it since. Using Zerex in conjunction with a 180 degree soft spring t-stat, Hayden 2781 fan and a Dorman 620-112 fan clutch keeps my V8 engine at moderate 182 -194 degree operating temps .

My shop puts G40, pink stuff that all VW, Audi, Porsche, Mercedes and Modern Land Rover use in their cooling systems.

Honestly, any of the modern blends will do great as they are all made for aluminum everything with plastic hoses. The old stuff didn't used to be that way, but all the manufacturers have caught up now.

Pick your flavor, and just make sure to stick with that color, as mixing different colors is bad
