Hi all,
I am new to the forum and this is my first post. I happened to come across a 2000 Discovery series 2 on a used car lot today. Although I fell in love with the car I walked away from it to do a little research. It needs a new head gasket which from reading this forum I understand is a common problem. My question is in front of the driver's door below the side marker light is the land Rover symbol and below that it says "Centre Edition.". What is a Centre Edition? I tried doing I tried doing the general Google search but nothing relevant came up.

Never heard of a "centre edition" so most likely the owner/seller purchased a phony badge and glued it on the side of the rig in hopes of making afew extra bucks when he finds a buyer for the rig. Same thing with the "Special Vehicles" bage that youll occasionally find glued to the fender. Land Rover does have a Special Vehicles division and they did manufactor a small number of unique special edition models. These vehicles usually come with special paperwork, and unique vin numbers which can be confirmed by contacting your local Land Rover dealership. The centre edition sounds fake though...
