Cam, you CDL is not fully disengaged, it is in the "half way" mark, STOP DRIVING THE TRUCK AND MOVE THE SHIFTER AGAIN, YOU ARE GRINDING GEARS!!!!
Re-engage the CDL, drive forward 20 ft, then disengage the CDL again.

I've tried it... But you're right I believe... the CDL is not disengaging.
Tomorrow im going to check the linkage at the point where it connects to the T-case. Something is not right. Im about 99% sure now that the CDL is still halfway engaged. n

I've only driven a few yards so I hope it hasnt done to much damage to the gears....

cam I think it'll be ok since you didn't drive it very far, you were smart to turn around and get your other vehicle. Luckily gear to gear transfer cases are very tough.

Can I just say, "IF" the CDL light is "ON", then the CDL "IS" engaged!!!.............remember that guys !!

Because of the way it works, it is NOT possible to have the light ON but not engaged. If your not 100% on it, simply jack up one front wheel, if you cannot spin it then the CDL is still in, you may even find that will "unwind" the transmission and put the light out. If you were on a surface where ANY of the 4 wheels can slip, then it is unlikely you have done any damage.

Well Ive tried everything to get CDL to disengage.
I tried to do it manually, but the lever doest allow me to do that.
Im running out of ideas.... This is the worst time to have something like this happen because I need it to be back to normal Monday...
