Default What to do with an extra set of wheels

So I was recently gifted an extra set of hurricane wheels, and after having them sitting in the garage for a couple months, am wondering what to use them for and wanted to see if you all had any ideas.

The most obvious first thought was using them for snow tires, but we don’t go to the snow often enough to have dedicated snow tires.

Another thought is painting them sort of a charcoal color and having those as a set to change things up with every once in a while.

Then of course I could just hang onto them in case the current wheels get damaged somehow.

idk.

If you plan on off-roading they could be used to mount mud/AT tires . Hollister Hills SRVA has some good introduction trails for wheeling. When I first got into D2s my original plan was 2 sets of rims/tires, one with mud tires for wheeling and one with hwy tires. I ended up wheeling enough to the point where I would switch them 2x a month, and have to buy new tires too.

As the Hurricanes are 18” (IIRC), they will not be as good for your off-road tires as your 16’s. You can air down the 16’s much more than the 18’s. My winter tires are on 18’s, but I really only use them for snowy/icy winter roads.
If you’re planning on having a set of off road and a set of on road tires, I’d use the 18’s for the street tires and put the A/T’s on the 16’s.

I run street tires on 18's and off-road tires on the 16's.
