What the hell happened today
So I'm convinced now that it's air in the ABS system. I'm going to take it to town and get the ABS flushed for 50 bucks by a local LR mechanic.
We'll see if that fixes my 3 amigos and sot pedal..Will keep you guys updated..

I doubt air in the lines would cause the three amigos...
You'll have to get to the bottom of that first.
Hopefully your guy will have the proper LR code reader or Textbook system to tell you exactly what needs fixed, once you know that you can start searching on here because no problem is new.

So I had just done option B. No problems at ALL with the ABS. Then as soon as I started the car on after air got in the system i got two codes for shuttle valve switch electrical failure. Same as last time. It only makes sense that air in the ABS will cause it not to function properly and therefore throw codes..
Thoughts? Truck goes in on Monday to flush air out.

If anyone's still following this thread, the guy didn't have the ability to flush the LR ABS system. Go figure.
He power bled the system and it helped a little bit, but still get the same symptom of soft pedal at first then hard. COULD THIS BE THE BRAKE MC?

If you don't have access to a LR scantool that will allow you to activate the WABCO Unit, you can manually bleed the system like normal, then in your case clear the ABS faults, and try to get HDC to activate before it faults. That will run the WABCO unit and push any air in the Unit/lines out, then bleed it again.
You can also jump the ABS relay (I read it online) and get it to activate the WABCO Unit, but I've never done that before myself.

- start the truck
- Pump the pedal a few times
- Hold the pedal on at least 5 minutes
If the pedal stays in place - it is not the MC
If it gradually goes lower you have a leak, could be the MC, a hose or bleeder value
checked for leaks and have zero brake fluid coming out anywhere.. Pedal still gets softer so I'm assuming this is the Brake MC. I will replace this and thank you for leaving a concrete answer to this. Now I just need to flush ABS air...
