what kind of milage does everyone get series I
well it's personally preference but you're shorting more than your drive time, you're also shortening your engines life by turning higher rpms.
Im sorting out the milage right now should know by tomorrow as I am driving to paris. But Im estimating around 13 or 14.
I have done:
fuel filter, induction cleaning, throttle body, new o2 sensors, new magenecors, bosch +4s going in on friday(so they dont count yet), and new air filter.....

Is there any chance you would take the time to do a writeup that would help walk us all through the things to do or check to get the mileage back up? I'm sure we would all appreciate it.
Disco Mike to the rescue again! Thanks for your ongoing labor of love, the Land Rover and those that strive to keep them running! I will give you a call, one suggestion from a newbie was only drive down hill.........Let me give that one a try...All the best. Phil
I took a tour bus from mannheim to paris one time, I didn't think it was that long a ride but it was long and not much fun.
I get 15mpg as a daily driver, 18+ expressway.
I set the cruise at 65 mph.
Now just for fun...
200 miles at 75 mph takes 2.6 hours.
200 miles at 65 takes 3 hours.
65 mph will get you 18 mpg. (11.11 gal)
75 mph will get you 14 mpg. (14.28 gal)
Now lets do the math and assume that gas is $3.00 per gallon.
3.17 gal savings by driving at 65, thats saving $9.51.
So driving 65 mph will save you $10 and cost you an extra 30 min of your time.
Now I am far from a math guru, but its worth it to me to drive 65 and save $10.

Your joking, right?
The difference is negligible as far as engine life is concerned...
If your doing 65 on the highway you better not be in front of me either.
Good grief.

That being said we can't drive over 62 (100 kmh) and 68 (110 kmh) - there are speed cameras everywhere these days!
I'm getting a pathetic 6 - 9mpg at the moment.
I'll be changing the plugs leads coil & temp sensor soonish!
