I've been changing my oil for the last 10,000 miles and no I have not greased it as it really has not clicked that I needed to, and with all the other work I've been doing it's been in the back of my mind.

Then get it completely rebuilt.
However, only use greasable u-joints if you really are going to grease it. Good intentions do not count. If you're not really going to grease it, then have them rebuild it with sealed u-joints, they will last longer than greasable u-joints that you don't lube. Either way, make sure they put in a new centering kit.

I grease my driveshaft every oil change. It just did not click that I may have a greasable u-joint. It's raining now so I cannot check.

Not trying to be a smartass, but how can you grease it every oil change and not know it has greaseable u-joints?
Like I said, if you haven't greased the u-joints in 40k miles, get it rebuilt.

I don't know what you want me to say, I'm a dumbass? Well there I said it. I've never claimed to be a mechanic just a chemical engineer that is low on funds at the moment because my tuition payment is due. Anywho, it turns out I don't have a greasable U-joint but the shop did not do the centering ball so I'm thinking I maybe doing the rebuild. I'm going to take it to a guy who supposedly experienced in rebuilding driveshafts for import SUVs so we will see what he wants. I may just do it myself though.

Only thing is that TW or GBR 1310 series propshafts are overkill for 90% of the Discos on the road.
I good rebuild job of the stock shaft is more than adequate for the vast majority.
There's nothing exotic about Land Rover drive shafts. If you're taking it to someone who specializes in rebuilding import driveshafts, you're probably paying a premium. Any good driveline shop can rebuild a Land Rover shaft.

was just referring him to TW because thats what everybody seems to go with for a REPLACEMENT.... if he's doing a rebuild yeah i guess a good driveline shop can do the rebuild....
