Default What is this plug for?

So I pulled the temp sensor for the HVAC (lots of fun) and saw this plug hanging there. Any ideas? I thought maybe the harness for the mirrors to fold in but I have no clue. Everything works, so I’m at a loss. The one I’m holding is for the temp sensor. I’m talking about the foam covered one.

There are lots of unused things in that area for different accessories. Could be the auto-levelling headlight switch. Could be the backup alarm. Could be the power folding mirrors. If things all work, just leave it alone.

It’s not a big deal as I know they make the harnesses and empty stuff all the time, I was just wondering. I’d have a had time believing it would be for foldaway mirrors because that would mean there would be 2 harnesses connected to the switch, but that’s about all it could be as the parking sensor switch light comes on (but they don’t work). I agree on auto headlight leveling too, but didn’t know that was an option?

All the parking sensor electronics are in the back as it is a stand alone system, but that’s later on the list to get sorted…

Since the parking sensor system has an activating switch up front, there must be a harness up there that is part of that system.
Same for the folding mirrors. I believe there's an activation switch in that area to turn the system on and off on vehicles that have it, separate from the mirror orientation controls..
Headlight levelling was available in some markets. Described in the RAVE.

Yep, I’ve studied the park distance control system as it’s on my list to fix, but this plug definitely isn’t for that again as the light flashes on the button, meaning there is a fault. It’s a simple system to diagnose, but I’ve got other fish to fry in the priority.

My question is based on having never seen this plug in either of my other 2 Discos. Again, not a big deal, just was trying to figure it out. But as I now see the headlight leveling system in the Rave, I bet you’re right and that’s it.
