Default What shocks for coils that give less than a 1-inch lift? Air suspension in rear

Normally all the products I see are for a 2 inch lift, I'm working with something less here

My car currently:
- D2 V2 4.0L with SLS and ACE
- Standard height, no bullbar, factory rear bumper
- All factory shocks, factory front coils, and OEM rear air suspension, factory bump stops

A friend gave me some low-mileage front springs (Dobinsons C51-032) which say they've got a 20mm lift.*

I want to buy:
- new shocks front and rear
- new rear airbags
- new bump stops front and rear

Do I need to buy all of those standard height, or for a 2-inch lift?

Do I need to buy spacers for standard airbags, or 2-inch lift airbags? Or find someone with a Nanocom to lift the back?

Shocks: considering fancy Bilstein (standard height only), or cheaper Britpart ones (sub-brands are Cellular Dynamic or Super Gaz) at either standard height or 2" lift.

* And in the tech specs it says "0-2 inch lift height" whatever that means...

shocks don't add any lift, fyi. That said the specs of 0-2" of lift will work for stock height and up to 2" of lift before the travel of the shock becomes a limitation/chance to damage the shock.

also don't bother with stock bump stops as you'll never hit them lol. I've never seen stock bump stops with any evidence they've been in contact with anything before.

If you install the new front equipment and find that you do want to raise the rear a little bit, you can install the rear spring seats from a D1 instead of the D2 rear seats. That will raise the rear by about one inch without needing to replace (or even remove) the existing rear springs or shocks.

I’ve got air suspension in the back. And am keeping it. Still applies?

I missed that in your original message. The bags inflate to a set height, which I know is only adjustable via programming. I believe that the height is determined using chassis sensors rather than the height of the bags themselves so adding the D1 seats probably wouldn't accomplish anything.
Also, from memory the bags sit on a different seat than the coils do.

^^ they do have a different plate but you can still get spacers for the air bags if the rear is too low for your liking.

Have you seen any 20mm spacers around (0.79 inches)?
