Default What threads are used on D2 engine sensors/senders.

Hi

I'm fitting auxillary oil pressure and temperature gauges (identically to this excellent thread https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...isco-ii-33833/ ) and wanted to find out what thread forms are used before I remove the existing sensors so I can ensure I have the right parts.

Please can anyone tell me what thread forms are used on the D2 2003 coolant temperature and oil pressure sensors/senders, are they NPT or BSP? or something else. Mine is a TD5 but I'm sure LR use the same thread form on all of their vehicles. I've looked at the RAVE specs but cannot find a definitive answer.

In that thread is mentioned, "The Disco oil port thread is M12x1.5". Is that what you're looking for?

Hi, thanks

I looked up the parts online and there are 2 options, some are M12x1.5 and some are 1/8" NPT so now I need to strip them out first to see which thread I have actually got on my truck. The oil pressure gauge is normally 1/8" NPT but they sell a metric sensor also for the D2 2003.
