Default What tools are needed to replace the rear air bags on disco II

Hello,

If anyone could please tell me what tools are needed to replace the rear air bags. I have all the parts I just need to know what type of tools are required.

I am assuming just the regular old stuff (breaker bar, metric socket set, extension set, wobble extensions, never hurts to have a hammer around) plus a good floor jack and jack stands.

You should pull the negative battery cable when you do any work with anything electrical like that.

OK, so her is what you need, 2 jack stands, a jack, a couple open end wrenchs and a pair of pliars that's all.

And a big friggin' hammer. You need a BFH for every job.

WOW thank you that is exactly what I was looking for... Do you happen to know the part number for the pin that goes in the bottom of the air bag. I am having difficulties locating this part.

Pin ????

What Pin ?? the bag has the "lock tab" built into it, its simply a twist and turn to remove the whole bag, no pins needed.
