Sorry... I will add that the local indie LR shop says..

Original drive train
No head gasket issues, although originals still in place
Tiny oil drip of a few drops per week if parked
90% tires
All other major components ( a/c, trans, etc) seem to be functioning fine according to owner

I hope to see in person later this week..

I guess my main question is how much would a reasonable estimate for a 3 amigos fix ne?

You need to read the ABS codes before you know anything.

Spend 200 bucks on a USB Amigo 1 if you want to sell it without a lot of hassle. Just my .02

Edit: opps noticed you were buying not selling.

Well if you buy it, order a USB Amigo 1 regardless. You will sleep better at night.
haha

$2000 with the 3 Amigos on and no other issues.

you WILL be replacing that head gasket in the next 25k miles. Keep that in mind.

Oil drip is irreverent - this is a Rover, it dripped oil rolling off the assembly line.

90% crap tires is 100% crap - check if they're decent tires not koreamart plastic tires

other stuff is ok though the 3 amigos is a big thing, it could be a number of issues so until you know what it is I wouldn't pay much for it.

For comparison, I paid $2000 for my 2000 D2. PO did new HGs done, 5 brand new general grabber tires, perfect condition interior/exterior, 1 owner. I only needed to put in a new CMP and plugs/wires/coil and it was at 100% (ace is amber too but meh)

How many miles did your 99 have? This one only has 71k. Depending on shape, it could be worth 3500.

All working very good - $4,000 to $6,000 depending on condition.
$6K if perfect - no scratches, dings, all perfect.
