ok,
so just yesterday i took my stock disco II thru the Humvee test track on post. the water portion. after it had rained for 4 days. i now hafta figure out how to drain water out of my headlamps (discomike - any idea here?) yeah...
it may have been a dumb idea but it sure was FUN!

with that in mind i hafta ask : WHAT IS THE DUMBEST THING YOU HAVE EVER DONE (successfully) IN YOUR DISCO?

 

paid the previous owner money and drove it home...lol j/k..I really haven't had mine long enough to do any dumb things...well I did pull a friends jeep wagoneer into a storage building..I was pulling him backwards and he had his door open..the side of the building almost ripped it off lol..does that count?

 

Tell a competitive bro that my 4500 pound disco could make it anywhere his 1400 pound Suzuki Samari could.

He took off up a 200 foot tall line of tight, small dunes at 15-20mph... making the trail up as he went. Great piece of driving. I almost rolled it taking his line up one particular dune, and figured out the hard way that a samari's wheel base is much narrower than a disco's.

He tried his best to make me quit and drive on the beach. He sure was surprised though, when I showed up at the top of the dunes where he ended up.

Stupidest thing I've ever done-the first 3 months I had my truck I didn't know it requires premium...

 

Take off your headlights, and take off the circle covers as if you are changing bulbs and dump all the water out. let it air out/dry. goodluck.

 

The stupidest thing I have done with my Disco...let my ex-wife touch it. Lucky for me the truck didnt burst into flames.

The stupidest thing I did was tell the wife how much money I wanted to fix little things and mod my truck..arg!

The funniest thing I did was outrun a new Mini Cooper off a stop light on dry asphalt. Not sure who was more suprised!

 

...... hmmmmm Drove 3 miles in five foot deep moving water one way, turned around then drove 3 miles back in five foot deep of running water. Yup..

 

DROVE?!? What have you done to your truck? That would require more than just a snorkel, were you wearing one too?

 

One of the nice things about driving through water...you dont get wet unless your door seals are really bad.
