Default What's It Worth?

Here is my D2. It had its headgaskets and pretty much the entire cooling system replaced exactly 25,000 miles ago. Last week it started building pressure in the cooling system. Heads were yanked, slipped sleeve in #4 was found.

2001 D2-SE7, 149,000 miles, good condition inside and out with no body damage.

Rovertym winch bumper, Warn 9.5ti winch with synth rope, winch kit, bag, CDL lock, Rovertym rock sliders, roof rack, 7 Hella lights, rear work light, ladder, Rovertym 2" lift, OME shocks, steering stablizer, Mantec Safari Snorkle, brand new BFG A/T's (not shown), brand new Tom Woods front drive shaft, brass diff fill plugs, recent new radiator, all hoses, Escape Gear front seat covers, ScanGage II, recent shuttle valve rebuild (no 3 amigos), ABS Amigo scanner, new brake rotors and ceramic pads all the way around, Trasharoo.

I think...I think I've fallen out of love with Land Rovers and pretty much resigned to getting 'er gone. It's currently at a shop as I don't have time or space to do an engine swap right now. I'm considering selling it as-is or installing a used 4.0 with 109k miles and selling it. Parting it out isn't an option for the aforementioned space/time issues.

So what do you think it's worth as it sits, or with the used engine installed?

Sell the accessories (roof rack, lights, bumper, winch). Then, the rig would be worth $3-4K I'd suppose (SE7s are better at holding value) depending on interior condition. With all the goodies, add $500 but I think you could do better parting those out.

I'm guessing you didn't read the whole post? Specifically the part about the slipped sleeve?
If you put in the 109k engine you can probably get 5k with the right buyer, without I would say 1500-2k.

No, I read it. Rig's got some great improvements listed and looks to be in great shape. If the interior's just as nice, that's what I'd pay. However, I'd probably replace any engine with a top hat liner, so that's more of a bargaining point than sheer value for me.

I would part it out. You can get far more than you would selling it outright. The bumper alone will easily net you $700

Its worth whatever someone will pay for it.

To some of us in this niche, maybe $2000-$3500

To a Joe Schmo off the street who knows nothing about D2's, its just an older LR with a blown engine.

Its a nice Rover. I know its not at my shop. I would have made you an offer already! LOL

If that was on Hawaii it would probably fetch 2500 to 3500. It has so many things that are so expensive to ship here, but even then it would take time to sell. In the mainland where shipping is much cheaper and those parts are more available, I'd say part it! you have a few things that would get quite a bit of money!
