Any other diplomats out there? I work for the Department of State (in the Foreign Service), at our US embassies abroad (note my username 'Overseas Living'.) My family and I have spent about 20 of the past 24 years abroad. I have owned my 2004 SE7 (in Adriatic Blue) since 2008. I have taken it to Eastern Europe where we road tripped through Moldova, Romania, Poland & Ukraine, we took to to Malawi for 2 years and safaried throughout Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. We lived in Israel for 4 years and traveled and camped throughout Israel and Jordan. I parked it at my cabin in northern MN for several years when I was unable to take it to Saudi Arabia (so I bought an LR3 and traveled throughout Saudi). It remains at my cabin now while I am in Washington DC. I have taught all three of my kids to drive in it, they love it. I purchased it with 31k miles and it has 115k. I have done most of the maintenance - coils, in-line thermostat mod, Old Man Emu shocks, new prop shaft, radiator, coolant tank, PS pump, CS position sensor, all of the typical stuff. I am considering an LS conversion now - I am a LR purist but the LS is so reliable that I am considering to make the jump.

Electrician primarily with some welder/fabricator and mechanic work on the side. Once the weather turns cold I'm planning to pick up web development over the winter, and I would like to go back to school for Mech Engineering down the road.

Don't know if there are diplomats, but I have sold quite a few kits to people overseas who are able to use USPS standard shipping overseas which only diplomats and military typically can do.Originally Posted by Overseas Living

Most of what I do comes down to sales, but recently it’s been more focused on product development for electronic hardware products and organizing internal engineering teams to get the work done. I have a business degree but most of the work I do is translating business requirements to an engineering team and visa versa. Got into that by way of developing a product and having some success growing the business.
Also own part of a high performance and motorsports focused auto shop business.
So in one word, Entrepreneur probably fits the best, but without the right people around me I’d struggle to do any of it.
And I barely make enough to keep the Disco going. Haha
