Default wheel question

Hello all,
I have a question about the stock wheels. How well do they hold up?, should I look at
aftermarket wheels, or beadlocks maybe? I have 16's on a 99 disco 1 sd. I will be doing mild to moderate
trail rides\rockcrawling. Just wondering how the stock wheels hold up, what do ya'll have on your rigs?
Thanks in advance, I always get accurate and quick help from everyone.

I have steelies, but the stock alloy wheels should be fine for mild/moderate wheeling. Beadlocks are illegal and not needed unless you have a trail only rig going into extreme terrain.

Yeah as far as I know there are no DOT approved beadlocks. There can be issues of the alloys cracking and not being able to hold the bead of the tire, which is why steelies are desirable. Just bash them with a hammer to get you back home.

Alloy's are stronger than steel, but like D2G said, you can fix them yourself.
