I have a 2003 HSE
I switched from Land Rover 18" Comet wheels with crappy highway tires(Kumo Venture) to 16" Land Rover Typhoon wheels and Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo II's. The differance in ride quality was immediate on the 16" wheels. At first I ran about 32psi and the ride was really supple. Now I run 40psi, the ride is firm and I get a little better MPG. Here is what my wheels look like. Stealth with matte black syle

A very good point. Did not think of that.

I actually just happened upon the sales ad for that black rover up top and it says it has a 3.5" lift but does not mention tire size, I might guess 32.5"ish. This green one I attached has a 2" lift with 265/65/18 tires.

I agree, the black rover must be liftet at least 3" and the tires are much bigger than the 265/65-18 that I am looking for. The Disco on the picture is exactly the setup I am looking for besides that I am going to paint the rims black. Is the Disco on the picture yours? Any more pics?

I wonder if 285/65-18 would fit without to much mod?

The Green one is not mine I found the pic online. I'm glad I found it, it gives me a good idea of what mine would look like. I like the clean, stock look that the smaller tire and lift upgrades maintain. It looks like the consensus is on the 2" lift with up to 32's which makes the most sense for a dual use vehicle. That black one is bada$$ though!
